Terms of Use
Last updated August 3, 2026.
By using this site you agree to what's below. It's short on purpose.
What this site is
Jesus Take the Wheel publishes plain-English summaries of Texas teen driver education requirements, sourced from the Texas regulator and dated so you can check us. Our methodology page explains exactly how we source and review every number.
What this site is not
- We are not a driving school and we do not teach any course.
- We do not issue certificates, permits, or licenses.
- We are not affiliated with TDLR, the Texas DPS, or any state agency.
- Nothing here is legal advice.
State rules change, and your family's situation may differ from the standard path. Always confirm requirements with the Texas regulator before enrolling or filing forms.
Affiliate relationships
Some links to course providers are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you enroll. That never changes what we publish: requirements come from the regulator, not from partners. Providers do not pay for placement in our requirement data.
Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to be right and we date every figure. If you find something wrong, email hello@jesustakethewheel.app and we'll review it against the primary source. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information here without confirming it with the regulator.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape, resell, or republish our requirement data as your own, and don't attempt to disrupt the service. Personal and family use is welcome and encouraged, as is sharing links with other parents, homeschool co-ops, and churches.
Joining the update list means we may email you about Texas requirement changes and site updates. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. See our privacy policy.
